Washington, D.C.– The buzz is intensifying about the first ever National Black Men's Convention coming to NW Washington D.C. Wednesday, April 18 through Sunday, April 22 at the Historic Shiloh Baptist Church 1500 9th Street NW Washington D.C. 20001.

Along with the 10,000 Black Men's March, scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at the White House, the upcoming significant convention is a follow-up to the historic 1995 Million Man March, which instructed Black men to continue to organize and take responsibility for their own plight. The 10,000 Black Men's March will convene under the themes "CONDEMN DONALD TRUMP" and "SAVE OUR SONS: STOP ✋ THE KILLING."

The controversial March on President Donald Trump's doorstep is expected to draw a massive crowd that will mark open a new political front in the effort to combat the vileness of Trump; whom at least 60% of all Americans believe to be racist, according to recent polls.

National Black Men's Convention and March goers are tackling core issues such as murder and killing, fatherhood support, racism and Donald Trump, police abuse, gentrification, self-defense, education, injustices in the court system and other national challenges facing Black men and our entire race. The entire Black family is welcome.

One of the keynote speakers, Dr. Cornel West says, "I am happy to support the call by Attorney Malik Z. Shabazz for his courageous stand against the racism and the extreme xenophobia of the Trump administration. For Black male leaders from all over America to come and collaborate to address our self-development, social and political crisis is admirable."

The five-day convention includes four individual daily national summits on education, finance, justice and politics, and reparations. The daughter of legendary human rights leader Malcolm X will conduct a book signing and speak on Friday, April 20. Keynote speeches will be delivered by Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq., the convention host and National President of Black Lawyers for Justice; Dr. Cornel West, leading national author-activist from Harvard University, and Chairman Hashim Nzinga, leader of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense.

Also scheduled to speak are Howard University students, national college student movements, national anti-violence groups, Pastor Ted Sutton with Men Against Murder, leaders from the America Indian Movement, National Action Network (D.C.), NAACP, speakers from Black Lives Matter (Ferguson, Missouri; Baltimore, Maryland; Charlottesville, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; Sacramento, California) and other racial/police brutality battlegrounds that March organizers have magnified by President Donald Trump and his reckless and dangerous administration.

Convention Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. says "10,000 Black Men or 100,000 for that matter, will be on Donald Trump's doorstep Saturday, April 21 demanding his immediate resignation or removal from office. These 10,000 or more Black men and the entire family of oppressed persons in America will not only serve notice on Mr. Trump, they will moreover declare self-determination actions and subsequently announce a Declaration of Independence: Full and complete Reparations and compensation from the United States Government which has tortuously oppressed or otherwise manipulated Blacks since 1619."

Expected to support the anti-Trump effort are also members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and likely quarterback and national activist Colin Kaepernick.

Opening night April 18, at 5 pm Professor James Smalls, South African lead-educator Baba Buntu, Egyptologist Dr. Tony Browder and the best educators in the Black world will conduct a summit on "Education and Defining Black Manhood."

On day two, beginning at 5 pm, Thursday, April 19, a groundbreaking 5-year Black National Economic Plan is scheduled to be unveiled at the 5-day convention. Speakers include economic experts Dr. Boyce Watkins, Dr. Claude Anderson (by video), CEO Haki Shakur Ammi, CEO hotel owner Michael V. Roberts, and other financial experts. The groundbreaking plan will be endorsed by 100 national and regional organizations and serve as the collective model for Blacks in America and worldwide for the next five years.

Day three, Friday, April 20, beginning at noon, extensive workshops on mental health, fatherhood, child custody, finance, legal training, relationship counseling, self-defense, anger management, court and expungement issues, gentrification and other subjects critical to Black men will be offered.

Concluding on Sunday, April 22, the entire day will convene a "Reparations and Healing Summit" that will feature Dr. Leonard Jeffries, the American Institute for Human Rights, Moorish Science Temple, and a bevy of Reparations groups. Simultaneously workshops and speakers from all over America and the world will train and educate Black men and the entire Black family on critical survival subjects.

Presentation High School Sexual Abuse Victim States Catholic School Paid to Silence Her

Presentation High School forced victim and her family to sign an illegal confidentiality agreement.

SAN JOSE, CA, UNITED STATES, March 30, 2018 / — Presentation High School sex abuse victim, Grace Leonis, is publicly coming forward to state Principal Mary Miller, Athletic Director Stacey Mallison, Swim Coach Marisa Cozort, and Counselor Rosemarie Healy all violated the law by failing to immediately report her abuser, a water polo coach, to the authorities after receiving multiple complaints about the coach's sexual misconduct. Additionally, Presentation illegally attempted to buy her silence about the sexual abuse by forcing her to sign a confidentiality agreement.

In an interview with NBC Bay Area, Leonis says in the Fall of 2013, as a 13-year-old freshman, she was sexually groomed and then sexually abused by her Water Polo Coach, Jenna Roe. According to Leonis, "the sexual abuse would never have happened had Miller reported the grooming to the police as she was supposed to do."

An investigation conducted by retired San Jose Police Department Sergeant Michael Leininger revealed that at least three of her water polo teammates reported inappropriate "red flag" grooming behavior to Stacey Mallison, who in turn advised Mary Miller. Leonis' mother also raised concerns to Marisa Cozort and Rosemarie Healy. The four women did not report the suspicious sexual grooming behavior to law enforcement as required by the law. Instead, they worked to cover up the subsequent sexual abuse by bringing in a lawyer who worked to settle clergy sex abuse cases confidentially in the early 2000s. According Sgt. Leininger, who investigated sex crimes for over 25 years, "The failure to promptly report hampered the police investigation as it gave the perpetrator time to destroy critical evidence, jeopardizing a sexual abuse conviction."

According to attorney Robert Allard, "By demanding confidentiality in exchange for money, Presentation High School broke the law. California law prohibits parties from entering into confidentiality agreements involving potential sex crimes against children. These actions demonstrate the lengths Presentation will go to cover up childhood sexual abuse committed by its employees. It is clear the school was acutely concerned about its image and reputation, as the confidentiality agreement expressly states, 'the school will suffer irreparable harm' if the agreement is made public."

Even though the money would never be enough to pay for Leonis' future medical bills from the harm caused by the abuse, Leonis' parents and Grace agreed to the settlement after an intense 11-hour meeting with Mary Miller and her three attorneys. "They wore Grace down, re-traumatized her to the point of a breakdown, and then coerced them into signing the agreement," said attorney Robert Allard.

Leonis states she was terrified and self-conscious about the whole thing. "I didn't want anyone to know about the abuse, and I didn't want to talk about it at all. I thought everyone was going to think it was my fault, especially my friends and teachers at Presentation."

"Presentation High School's actions are no different than the silencing of Larry Nassar's victim, gymnast McKayla Maroney. In both cases, deals were made to muzzle the victims and to keep the sexual abuse out of the public's eye," said Allard. "Presentation will do anything to silence victims, even going as far as to make silence a condition of mediation." An email sent to Allard from Presentation High School's new legal team on February 14, 2018 states, "My proposal is that we get a mediation scheduled as soon as possible with an agreement that key players on all sides will be in attendance and that there will be a cooling off period in the media in the interim by all sides."

Leonis says she is exposing her traumatic story in hopes that the Presentation High School Board of Directors will make permanent changes in leadership and policy to protect all students from sexual predators. Make Pres Safe, a group of Presentation High School sex abuse survivors and their supporters, is supporting Leonis' efforts to make the school safe for all students.

Law Firm Marketing Expert Provides Tips on How to Improve Your Business

Law Firm Marketing Agency

When it comes to legal marketing, people assume that it costs a lot of money. There are ways to promote your services and law firm that are free.

Marketing a law firm doesn’t have to be costly. You just have to be smart about using the resources at your disposal.”

— Mary Ann Fasanello, CEO

When it comes to legal marketing, people assume that you can’t do it yourself or it costs a lot of money. This is not true. There are ways to promote your services and law firm that are free.

Yes, I said free. When people are told they can get something for free, they don’t believe it – there has to be a catch. With the ideas that I will discuss, they are free. The catch is the time and effort you put into them. These ideas are great ways to meet new people and help sharpen certain skills.

Building Your Client Base

You could spend tens of thousands of dollars on billboards, print ad and radio and tv commercials that produce measurable results. But what if you’re just starting out or have a small advertising budget? There are ways to promote your law firm on your own and for free.

1. Networking – This idea isn’t revolutionary, but it’s an old favorite. If you are shy, you’ll have to become an extrovert quickly, especially in law. As a lawyer, it is your job to provide expert services to your client, whether it’s proving one’s innocence, dividing assets or preparing a bankruptcy.

You need to be personable and build relationships to get potential clients. To network, you can go to industry events and meetings. Contact the bar association in your state to learn the dates for mixers and conferences.

You can network with referral partners as well as other professionals, such as realtors, doctors, and insurance brokers. You will get better at meeting people and asking to represent them.

2. Offer a Discount – When you have a client who may be a great source of referrals, you can offer him or her a discount on future services if you are given a referral.

3. Be Visible – I don’t mean TV commercials; I am talking about making a video. You don’t need expensive equipment, just a cell phone. The video can be a few minutes like an introduction to you and your law firm or longer as in providing tips on a popular law topic.

You can upload the video to YouTube with a link to your website. You can also use Instagram to post pictures of your law office or a new associate. Also, you can track the results by the number of “hits” your video or post gets.

4. Create an eBook – This is another way to provide helpful guidance on a legal issue, such as how to prepare for a bankruptcy or how to file a workers’ compensation claim. You can put the eBook on your website.

Providing quality content is a great way to convert website visitor to a client. And by creating relevant content, you’ll be using SEO legal keywords and phrases people will use to find you on the Internet and improve your ranking on Google.

5. Create an Avvo Profile – Similar to creating a LinkedIn profile; an Avvo profile will provide information about you and your law office to a targeted audience – those who have a legal problem.

6. Use Social Media – You can create a personal and a business Facebook page. You can also post helpful tips and videos to both. Did you know that Facebook now has two billion users?

Instagram has 800 million and Twitter has 330 million. More opportunities to showcase who you are and what you do! When you have posted a new blog on your website, use social media to advertise it.

You could put a teaser about it on Twitter with a link to your website. You can also create a bio for your practice on Instagram. You will become a master at using social media and know which ones to devote your time and energy to.

7. Submit Questions to Quora – Quora is a question-and-answer platform on a number of topics; it’s the text version of Ted Talks. You can provide answers to questions that focus on your area of expertise. It’s a great way to strengthen your writing skills by crafting concise, informative answers as well as questions.

And with the other social media handles, you’ll build a presence. You can also start threads on topics that lead to conversations.

You should keep in mind that Quora is not a place to directly do your law firm marketing. You’ll promote it by providing your name and a short profile along with thought-provoking questions.

Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges a Physician to Call Them About Rewards If They Have Proof a Healthcare Company is Bribing Medical Doctors for Referrals in Pennsylvania

"We are 100% certain healthcare companies are paying kickbacks to physicians in every state including Pennsylvania and the potential rewards can be significant provided the whistleblower has proof”

— Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, March 29, 2018 / — The Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center is urging a medical doctor with proof any type of healthcare company is bribing physicians for referrals, admissions or anything else to call them anytime at 866-714-6466 for a conversation about the federal whistleblower reward program. Recently the Department of Justice announced a $29.6-million-dollar settlement involving two medical practice groups and a hospital system involved in a referral kickback scheme. The allegations revolved around kickbacks for patient referrals. Allegedly the scheme involved a hospital system admitting patients rather than seeing them on an outpatient basis. In this instance the whistleblowers (two medical doctors) will receive $6.2 million dollars for their information. http://Pennsylvania.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

According to the Department of Justice, "On average, Medicare pays at least three times as much for an inpatient admission as it does for outpatient care."

The Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center is inviting a medical doctor or healthcare professional in Pennsylvania to call them anytime at 866-714-6466 if they possess proof the following type of company is bribing physicians for referrals, purchases or admissions:

* A hospital or hospital company

* A nursing home or skilled nursing facility

* A pharmaceutical company

* A hospice provider

* A medical device manufacturer

* A dialysis Center

* An Imaging Center

* An in-home healthcare provider

* A blood testing company

The Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "We are 100% certain healthcare companies are paying kickbacks to physicians in every state including Pennsylvania and the potential rewards can be significant provided the whistleblower has proof or an eyewitness account of what happened or is happening on an ongoing basis. If you possess this type of information, please call us anytime at 866-714-6466 for a conversation about the potential value of your information. Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?" http://Pennsylvania.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The Pennsylvania Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a Pennsylvania based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.”

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing in Pennsylvania can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://Pennsylvania.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com.

Steve Fretzin

Legal Business Development

Sales-Free Selling Methodology Drives Leads and Gains Clients

We align the intersection of business development and marketing.”

— Steve Fretzin

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, March 28, 2018 / — For lawyers and law firms that are looking for ways to expand their practices and attract new clients, Fretzin, Inc., offers the solution: a marketing and business development partnership that focuses on the sales-free selling methodology to drive new business through the door.

Steve Fretzin, the company’s founder and legal business development expert, explains that the company “does it all,” saying, “We align the intersection of business development and marketing.” When asked to expand on how the practice works, and how Fretzin is able to so effectively merge business development and legal marketing to get clients and grow a legal practice, Fretzin explained that the law firm’s website should be thought of as the base of operations. Surrounding that base, Fretzin mused, are the marketing and business development efforts. The point of these efforts are to drive home the brand and brand recognition, generate opportunities, and lock up qualified buyers of legal services.

So what goes into a great business development and marketing strategy? It’s multi-faceted, and involves everything from that great website base (well designed, easy-to-navigate, informative), to carefully crafted content and blogs, to social media efforts and more. Of course, it also requires knowledge of what’s working and what’s not, with testing and lead monitoring being critical elements. Fritzen assures that throughout the entire process, clients are kept apprised of the company’s progress and efforts in order to ensure that the lawyer/law firm knows what’s working where, and what can be improved. Fretzin, Inc. works with clients on a one-on-one basis, and hosts both client-centric and in-house strategy sessions on marketing and business development, something that the company says is “key to our client’s success.”

In addition to legal business development and marketing, specific services provided by Fretzin, Inc., include coaching, consulting, branding and web design, digital marketing, and even retreats for law firms that focus on client acquisition, client retention, and driving activity. Indeed, being a successful lawyer doesn’t just mean being knowledgeable and skilled in regards to the law, but having business savvy and acumen that allows one to build a practice and attract and retain clients.

The services provided by Fretzin, Inc. are revolutionizing the way in which lawyers do business, and they’re intended to. Fretzin believes that law firms need to change their culture and overall business model in order to reach the pinnacle of success. And as someone who has coached and trained professionals for nearly two decades, Fretzin’s method has been proven successful. Wondering whether or not now is the right time for your law firm to make a move? As Fretzin would say, “It’s certainly better than waiting!”
