Bell, CPL, Executive Vice President of the American Association of Professional Landmen will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of Women’s Energy Network (WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club. Ms. Bell will be presenting the topic “Practical Insights & Tips: What I’ve Learned Developing a Lifelong Career in the Energy Industry.”
AJ Akaydin, Sr. Dir of Finance, Sammons Infrastructure, will be the guest speaker at the Dallas luncheon meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the Dallas Petroleum Club. Ms. Akaydin will be presenting the topic “Disruptive Trends Shaping the Power Industry in Texas and Beyond.”
Doors open for luncheon events at 11:30 a.m. with the luncheon presentation to follow from noon to 1:00 p.m. The cost to attend WEN North Texas luncheons is $30 for members and $45 for non-members if paid in advance. Member and non-member registration the day of the event is $50, space permitting.
WEN-North Texas recently teamed up with the Girl Scouts North East Texas for a Career Development Day on April 27, 2019. “It was a such a pleasure to volunteer at the Girls Scout Event in Plano Texas and have an opportunity to speak to them about careers in the Energy Industry. While talking to the girls, it became obvious, that these girls were eagerly looking into their future and have a plan of action to achieve it. It was very inspiring to hear them talk about their goals and aspirations,” said Gauri Gajewar, WEN-North Texas Board Member.
The Women’s Energy Network – North Texas Chapter’s 9th Annual Leadership Conference will be held on Thursday, June 20th at the La Cima Club in Irving. The goal of the conference is to bring together successful women in energy to empower, enable, and enhance the careers of women in the industry. It will be a half-day event on the afternoon of June 20, and we expect more than 100 attendees across all sectors of the oil and gas industry. The theme of this year’s conference is “New Frontiers, Beyond the Glass Ceiling.” The conference will have many dynamic speakers including Judy Hoberman, Author of Walking on the Glass Ceiling and Selling in a Skirt and Ann Bluntzer, Associate Professor at TCU Neeley School of Business.
