NEW ORLEANS, LA, UNITED STATES, June 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Attorney Aspen Steib Murphy has been recognized as one of the Louisiana State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Top Young Lawyers, an honor highlighting exceptional attorneys making an impact across Louisiana through leadership, service, and dedication to the legal profession.

Murphy is the only attorney from the tri-parish region of St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles Parishes to receive the recognition in over four years.

About the Young Lawyers Division

The purpose of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division is to foster discussions and the interchange of ideas related to the duties, responsibilities, and challenges facing younger members of the legal profession in Louisiana. The division also works to support the advancement of young attorneys, encourage participation in the Louisiana State Bar Association, and further the mission and objectives of the organization statewide.

About Aspen Steib Murphy

Murphy earned her Juris Doctor and Social Justice Certificate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, she received numerous honors including the Ignatian Law Scholar distinction, the Louisiana State Bar Association Children’s Law Award, the Clinical Legal Education Association Student Team Award, and the Law Clinic Highest Grade Award. She was also inducted into the Order of the Barristers and received the Family Law Clinic’s Advocacy Award. She additionally served as a term law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Murphy is also widely recognized for her community leadership. She is a graduate of the Nancy Marsiglia Institute for Justice, Leadership River Region, and the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, where she received the Emerging Leader Award. She also became the youngest person ever to serve as Board Chair of the River Region Chamber of Commerce.

Today, Murphy focuses her practice on estate planning, family law, labor and employment law, and personal injury matters. She is admitted to practice before the Eastern District Court of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
