MARK R. BROWN NAMED GERALD T. HART OUTSTANDING TAX ATTORNEY OF THE YEAR

The Tax Section named Mark R. Brown of Palm Beach Gardens its 2026-2027 Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year during its 2026 Organizational Meeting at Omni Amelia Island.

Brown of partner at Comiter Singer, will be honored at the Tax Section's annual meeting on May 15, 2027.

"Mark has earned the respect of his clients, colleagues and other professionals throughout Florida not only because of his brilliance as an attorney but also through his leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the profession," said Michael S. Singer, managing partner of Comiter Singer.

Brown has served the Tax Section as chair, treasurer and director, reflecting a decades-long commitment to advancing the practice of tax law in Florida. He is the president-elect of the Palm Beach Estate Planning Council and past chair of its Annual Estate Planning Supplement. He has served as director and past president of the East Coast Estate Planning Council, past president of the Palm Beach Tax Institute, and has served on the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County Business & Professionals cabinet. He actively participates in pro bono activities and has been honored for pro bono service from the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County.

The Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year Award is the Tax Section's highest honor. Since 1981, the Tax Section has annually recognized an attorney whose career reflects exceptional leadership, service to the profession, and contributions to the practice of tax law.
